Quick Start — UniPay for Shopify
Get UniPay running on your Shopify store in under 5 minutes. You'll need an active UniPay account before you begin.

Step 1 — Install from the Shopify App Store
- Open the Shopify App Store and search for UniPay.
- Click Add app on the UniPay for Shopify listing.
- Review the permissions and click Install app in your Shopify admin.
You'll be redirected to the UniPay app configuration screen inside Shopify admin.
Step 2 — Connect your UniPay account
- In the UniPay app screen, click Connect to UniPay.
- Log in to your UniPay account when prompted.
- Authorise the connection — UniPay will redirect you back to Shopify automatically.
- Your API Key and Webhook Secret are configured automatically. No manual copying required.
Manual credentials: If you prefer to enter credentials manually, copy your Live API Key and Webhook Secret from the Merchant Portal under Integrations → Shopify. See the Settings page for field-by-field guidance.
Step 3 — Enable UniPay at checkout
- In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Payments.
- Scroll to Additional payment methods and locate UniPay.
- Click Activate UniPay.
- UniPay now appears as a payment option at your store's checkout.
Step 4 — Send a test payment
- In the UniPay app settings, toggle Test mode on.
- Open your store in a browser and add any product to your cart.
- Proceed to checkout and select UniPay as the payment method.
- Scan the test QR code with the UniCash app (test mode). Your order should move to Payment Captured automatically.
- Confirm the order appears in your Shopify admin with the correct status.
Test mode uses a separate test API key. Payments made in test mode are never real — your live UniPay balance is not affected.
Step 5 — Go live
- Turn off Test mode in the UniPay app settings.
- Place a final real test payment of a small amount to confirm end-to-end flow.
- You're live. Customers can now pay with UniCash on your store.
Payouts: Your UniPay merchant balance accumulates as customers pay. Request a payout to your bank account at any time from the Merchant Portal.
