Quick Start — UniPay for Shopify

Get UniPay running on your Shopify store in under 5 minutes. You'll need an active UniPay account before you begin.

No UniPay account yet? Create one free at merchant.unipay.network before continuing.

Step 1 — Install from the Shopify App Store

  1. Open the Shopify App Store and search for UniPay.
  2. Click Add app on the UniPay for Shopify listing.
  3. Review the permissions and click Install app in your Shopify admin.

You'll be redirected to the UniPay app configuration screen inside Shopify admin.

Step 2 — Connect your UniPay account

  1. In the UniPay app screen, click Connect to UniPay.
  2. Log in to your UniPay account when prompted.
  3. Authorise the connection — UniPay will redirect you back to Shopify automatically.
  4. Your API Key and Webhook Secret are configured automatically. No manual copying required.

Manual credentials: If you prefer to enter credentials manually, copy your Live API Key and Webhook Secret from the Merchant Portal under Integrations → Shopify. See the Settings page for field-by-field guidance.

Step 3 — Enable UniPay at checkout

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Payments.
  2. Scroll to Additional payment methods and locate UniPay.
  3. Click Activate UniPay.
  4. UniPay now appears as a payment option at your store's checkout.

Step 4 — Send a test payment

  1. In the UniPay app settings, toggle Test mode on.
  2. Open your store in a browser and add any product to your cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout and select UniPay as the payment method.
  4. Scan the test QR code with the UniCash app (test mode). Your order should move to Payment Captured automatically.
  5. Confirm the order appears in your Shopify admin with the correct status.

Test mode uses a separate test API key. Payments made in test mode are never real — your live UniPay balance is not affected.

Step 5 — Go live

  1. Turn off Test mode in the UniPay app settings.
  2. Place a final real test payment of a small amount to confirm end-to-end flow.
  3. You're live. Customers can now pay with UniCash on your store.

Payouts: Your UniPay merchant balance accumulates as customers pay. Request a payout to your bank account at any time from the Merchant Portal.
