What is UniPay?
UniPay is a payment gateway for WooCommerce merchants that accepts UNC digital credits from customers using the UniCash mobile app. When a customer pays, the full UNC amount is added to your UniPay balance — you request a payout to your bank account in your preferred currency (typically AUD, USD, EUR, or GBP) at a fixed Tier Service Rate with no interchange, no card network fees, and no chargeback risk.
The plugin is free. UniPay earns through the Tier Service Rate applied at the time of each bank payout. There are no monthly fees on the free tier.
How it works
- Customer selects UniPay at checkout. The cart total is shown in UNC (the transaction unit) with the store currency shown as reference.
- Customer scans the QR code or taps the app link. The UniCash app opens, shows the payment details, and the customer approves with their PIN.
- UniPay confirms payment via webhook. Your store's order moves to Processing automatically — no manual action needed.
- Request a payout in your preferred currency. Funds transferred to your nominated bank account on demand via licensed banking partners.
