What is UniPay for Shopify?
UniPay for Shopify is a payment gateway app that lets your customers pay with UNC digital credits from the UniCash mobile app. When a customer pays, the full UNC amount is added to your UniPay merchant balance. You request a payout to your bank account at a fixed Tier Service Rate — no card network fees, no interchange, no chargeback exposure.
The app is free to install. UniPay earns through the Tier Service Rate applied at the time of each bank payout. There are no monthly subscription fees on the Free tier.
How it works
- Customer selects UniPay at checkout. The cart total is shown in UNC with the store currency as reference.
- Customer scans the QR code or taps the app link. The UniCash app opens with payment pre-loaded. The customer confirms with their PIN.
- UniPay confirms via webhook. Your Shopify order moves to Payment Captured automatically — no manual action required.
- Request a payout when ready. Funds transferred to your bank account in your preferred currency via licensed banking partners.
